A Playlist and a Story

I’ve started creating this playlist for an upcoming road trip through the overwhelmingly scenic and flat Hoosier state of Indiana. Don’t get me wrong - I spent 4 of the best years of my life at Purdue University, but there ain’t nothing but cornfields, grain silos, and cows along I-65. Since I’ll be navigating the open road solo, I won’t have anyone to play “Slug Bug!” with or rattle off States for License Plate game.

This selection of songs will keep me entertained (and awake!), as they are upbeat and vary in style. I’m sure I’ll get weird looks from other drivers as I’m bellowing lyrics to each song and slappin’ da bass. The final list will be much larger, and I can’t wait to start the road trip with a “set and forget” playlist to tackle the road.
