I lived in Richmond, Virginia for eight months after I graduated from college. I worked as a cook, made a best friend, got over a lover, got under some lovers, and learned a lot of life lessons the hard way. After stressful days in a testosterone run kitchen, I came home to my porch, turned on some tunes and opened a good book. Being alone on that porch, watching the world go, created memories that soothe and haunt me even two years later. I remember the warmth of sweet calm, but I fear the inability to return to it. This playlist helps me at least a little bit.
